Storm repair process
We build the whole job.
Share your insurance estimate and we’ll build our scope from it. You don’t juggle four different trades — one contractor handles every repair.
How it works
From hailstorm to handed back.
Most homeowners only deal with major storm damage once or twice in their life. Damage is easy to miss — dented gutters, chipped siding, ceiling stains nobody wrote down.
Boss General Contracting documents the damage with photos before you decide whether to file. You work with your carrier on your claim. Share your insurance estimate and we’ll build our scope from it, and we send your carrier our photos for code items and hidden damage. Then insured crews on every trade finish the whole job.

Straight talk
About your deductible.
Texas law requires every homeowner to pay their insurance deductible. Any contractor offering to “cover” or “waive” it is breaking the law — and putting your claim at risk.
We don’t play that game. On an approved claim, your deductible is typically your only out-of-pocket cost. Upgrades you choose are quoted in writing before any work starts.
Process questions.
What happens after I file a storm damage claim?
Your insurance carrier inspects the property and issues an estimate. You manage your claim directly with your carrier. Share your insurance estimate with Boss General Contracting and we’ll build our repair scope from it, covering the roof, gutters, siding, paint and interior.
What if there is damage the estimate doesn’t show?
Some items only show up once work begins, such as code-required drip edge, rotted decking or damage found during tear-off. We send your carrier our photos for code items and hidden damage. Your carrier decides coverage.
Do I have to pay my deductible?
Yes. Texas law requires homeowners to pay their insurance deductible, and it is illegal for a contractor to waive or absorb it. On an approved claim, your deductible is typically your only out-of-pocket cost unless you choose upgrades.
What if my claim was denied?
Coverage decisions are made by your insurance carrier, and you can ask your carrier about its review process. We can re-inspect the property and give you our photos and documentation of the storm damage to share with your carrier.
Why does insurance send two checks?
Many Texas policies pay Actual Cash Value (ACV) first, then release recoverable depreciation after the work is completed and invoiced. We send the final invoice and documentation to your carrier so the depreciation is released.
Do I need separate contractors for the roof and the interior?
Not with us. Boss General Contracting handles every trade on a storm repair — roofing, gutters, siding, paint and interior — under one contract with insured crews on every trade.
